Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Our Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse who has acquired the expert knowledge base, decision making skills and clinical competencies for expanded Practice. She works alongside the doctors and is able to assess, examine, diagnose and prescribe or advise treatment for patients according to their presenting complaint.

Frailty Nurse Practitioner

Our Frailty Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse, who works collaboratively  with the primary healthcare team in the delivery of care for housebound and frail elderly patients.

Clinical Pharmacist

Sabana Bhata


Our clinical pharmacist can advise on existing medications, side effects, prescribing for diagnosed conditions and pain relief. They also perform medication reviews

Pharmacy Technician

Alison Howarth


Our pharmacy technician supports the clinicians and patients with medication queries, repeat medication, medication management and annual reviews.

Practice Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

The Practice Nurses also offer Travel Vaccination clinics for advice on vaccinations and health and well-being for travel.

The Practice nurses also support the delivery of various national immunisation programmes including the childhood vaccinations.

Healthcare Assistant/ GP assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Our GP assistants support the smooth running of clinics by performing routine administrative and clinical tasks on behalf of the GPs. 

Care Co-ordinators

Our Care co-ordinators play a pivotal role in the delivery of care for our more vulnerable patients. They also support the frailty nurse practitioner in the continued care of patients who are housebound or residing in local care homes.


The care co-ordinators also support the planning and delivery of various immunisation programmes, such as Covid vaccinations.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Reception Supervisor

Is responsible for the reception function of the practice and ensures that staff are providing the best service possible to patients. Becki supervises our very helpful team of Receptionists to ensure that patient care is always our highest priority.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
